Why work with us?
European compliance doesn't have to be complicated. Here's how we make CE marking for consumer products clearer, simpler and more cost-effective.
Sell faster without last-minute surprises
We identify which directives and standards apply to your product, define your labelling requirements, review or prepare the technical file, coordinate testing when needed and guide you on the Declaration of Conformity so you can sell with more confidence.
Save money by doing only what is needed
Many companies overpay for unnecessary tests or miss critical requirements. Our specialization in consumer products helps you focus on what is actually needed for your product, without overcomplicating the process.
Protect your business with defensible documentation
A properly managed compliance process helps reduce the risk of fines, product recalls, marketplace blocks and liability claims. We make sure your documentation is organized and ready for buyer, marketplace or market surveillance requests.
When Do You Need CE Marking Consultants?
If any of these situations sound familiar, we can help.
A buyer is asking for your technical file
We create or review your technical file to meet EU requirements, giving your buyers the confidence to place their order.
Amazon is requesting compliance documentation

You are not sure whether your supplier certificates are valid
We review certificates, test reports and supplier documentation, identify gaps, and advise whether additional testing or documentation is needed for European compliance.
You're launching a new product in Europe
From directive identification to CE marking and, when applicable, UKCA: we support the process so you can focus on sales.
Why ConformityPoint is different
Not all CE marking consultants work the same way. We specialize in practical, product-focused support for consumer products.
We focus on consumer products
We do not focus on raw materials, industrial machinery or medical devices. Our focus is CE marking and European compliance for consumer products: technical documentation, labelling, instructions, supplier evidence, testing guidance, GPSR and EU Responsible Person support.
You provide the input, we do the work
You send us the available product information, supplier documents, photos, manuals, labels and test reports. We review the evidence, identify gaps and prepare a structured compliance file that is easier to use with buyers, marketplaces and authorities.
Specialist consulting with efficient delivery
You get direct support from a compliance specialist who understands consumer products. We use technology internally to work faster, reduce friction and keep pricing clear, without turning the process into a self-service platform.

Request Free ConsultationFrequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before working with CE marking consultants for consumer products.
What is CE marking and why does my product need it?
CE marking is mandatory only for products covered by EU harmonisation legislation that expressly requires it. It shows that the product complies with the applicable EU health, safety and environmental requirements. If CE marking is required and the product is placed on the market without it, it may be stopped at customs, removed from marketplaces or subject to enforcement action.
Which EU directives apply to consumer products?
The most common directives for consumer products include the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Equipment Directive (RED), RoHS, REACH, Toy Safety Directive, General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), and the Packaging & Packaging Waste Directive. The specific directives depend on your product type.
What is the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)?
The GPSR replaces the old General Product Safety Directive and applies to all consumer products not covered by specific harmonized legislation. It requires manufacturers and importers to ensure products are safe, maintain technical documentation, and have traceability systems in place. It became mandatory in December 2024.
What is a Declaration of Conformity (DoC)?
The Declaration of Conformity is a legal document signed by the manufacturer (or Authorized Representative) stating that the product complies with all applicable EU directives and regulations. It must reference the specific directives, harmonized standards used, and include the manufacturer's identification.
What is a technical file and what does it contain?
A technical file is the complete set of documentation that proves your product's compliance. It typically includes product description, design drawings, risk assessment, list of applied standards, test reports from accredited labs, user manual, labeling details, and the Declaration of Conformity. Market surveillance authorities can request it at any time.
Does my product need laboratory testing?
Most consumer products require testing by an accredited laboratory to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards. The specific tests depend on your product category — electrical safety testing for electronics, chemical analysis for toys, EMC testing for anything with electronic components, etc. We coordinate all testing with our partner labs.
What is an Authorized Representative and do I need one?
An Authorized Representative is a person or company established in the EU that acts on behalf of a non-EU manufacturer under a written mandate. If your company is based outside the EU, you may need an EU-based economic operator depending on the product, legislation and supply chain. This may be an importer, an authorized representative, a responsible person or another valid operator.
What is the difference between CE and UKCA marking?
CE marking is for the European Economic Area (EU + EFTA countries), while UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is the equivalent marking for the Great Britain market (England, Scotland, Wales). Both have similar technical requirements but separate legal frameworks. We handle both certifications.
